What to Expect

Sundays at Redeemer

Welcome to Redeemer Church! We are a community of Christians from all walks of life that has gathered in and served Northeast Ohio since 1995, calling our current location home since 2009. We sincerely hope you visit us soon so we can meet you in person.

Sundays are the centerpiece of our life together at Redeemer, and our time together is marked not only by reverent, joyful worship and biblical preaching and teaching, but also by the sincere, sweet fellowship that we share with one another. Our gatherings on Sundays are an essential part of our identity as a church—we have three distinct events, and much of our congregation comes to all three.

10:00 A.M.

Sunday school

This is an hour of structured instruction in the Bible, theology, church history, and Christian growth of every kind. Children are grouped into classes by age and school grade. We have separate classes for Middle School and High School students. All children and youth classrooms are on the lower level. We offer one adult class that takes place in the fellowship hall on the main level.

11:00 A.M.

morning worship

The highlight of our week together is our morning worship service, where in addition to our regular, weekly elements of prayer, Scripture readings, preaching, and the Lord’s Supper (see “Worship” on our About Us page), we often celebrate the sacrament of Baptism and receive new communicant members into the church by hearing their professions of faith. This service normally lasts between 75 and 90 minutes.

5:00 P.M.

evening worship

To mark the entire day as holy and set apart to the Lord, we follow ancient tradition by gathering a second time on Sundays in the evening. Before the service, we take requests from the congregation to be prayed for during the service. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper in the evening once per quarter. This service normally lasts between 45 and 60 minutes.

Nursery

Children are always welcome in any of our services, and many families choose to bring even young children with them to worship.  During Sunday School and our morning worship service, we also offer a nursery for children aged four and under, staffed by volunteer Redeemer members who have undergone training and background checks.

We have an extensive Child Protection Policy in place to make sure all children are cared for in a safe environment.  Check-in for nursery is on the lower level of the Redeemer building by the church offices, and our hall monitor will give you and your children security badges, escort you and your children to your children’s rooms, and answer any questions you have about our nursery.

Directions & Parking

Our campus is located just west of downtown Hudson and two miles east of Ohio Highway 8 on Streetsboro Street/Highway 303.  It is easiest for first-time visitors to park on the upper parking lot and enter the church building through the main doors under the covered drop off.  Our sanctuary is on this upper level, and greeters and signs should help you navigate the building as you enter.
