Men’s  Fellowship

Our Men’s Fellowship is lead by both Pastor Scott Wright and Pastor Jason Piland on Saturday mornings from 8:00am-9:00am.

2019-2020 Schedule Disciplines Schedule

Book to be discussed is by R. Kent Hughes, Disciplines of a Godly Man.

Disciplines Of A Godly Man by R. Kent Hughes aims to encourage men to take seriously the call to godliness and direct their attention toward the things that matter most.  Scott and Jason will use the discussion questions at the end of the chapter, with supplemented questions from the leader’s own questions from time to time.

Men’s Retreat | March 13-14

Our first Redeemer Men’s Retreat is on March 13-14, and registration season is upon us!  To register, give payment in the form of check (made to Redeemer Church, memo Men’s Retreat) to  Jason Piland or place it in his mailbox. After February 16, registration will cost $95. This cost covers overnight accommodations and breakfast and lunch on Saturday, March 14.

I am excited to share with you some additional details for our retreat at Camp Asbury in Hiram, OH that is quickly approaching. We invited all men aged 18 and older, and we especially welcome men outside of Redeemer. So I encourage you to invite friends! We will have the opportunity to learn about and discuss together biblical sexuality from an expert in that area, Jim Weidenaar of Harvest USA and a PCA Pastor. His series is entitled, “The Two Shall Become One Flesh: Marriage, Singleness, Sexuality, and the Gospel.” Another important focus of the retreat is simply making time to be together and building friendships. A bonfire and meals together will encourage this.

The retreat officially begins with check-in at Camp Hiram at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13. We will conclude at 1:00 p.m. after lunch on Saturday, March 14. On Friday night, we will have an optional pre-retreat dinner at a restaurant in Streetsboro (details TBA).

If finances prohibit you coming on the retreat, please let me know. Financial assistance is available for Redeemer members and regular attenders.

Our overnight accommodations at Camp Asbury will consist of single bunk beds (with minimal, if any, use of the top bunks, but Elder Miller volunteered to be the first to stay on the top!) and a shared community bathroom. You will need to bring your own linens or a sleeping bag in addition to a pillow, towel, and toiletries.

I am greatly looking forward to this retreat. Please join me even now in praying that the Lord would bless this time we will have together. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Grace and peace,

Jason Piland
